Beavory + Lazerwood = New Artist Series!
Lazerwood is happy to announce our collaboration with designer Keren Mack of Beavory.com to create the latest installment in our Artist Series. This hard working women submitted some great art work and we couldn't be happier with the results. Keren was kind enough to answer a few questions for all us. Enjoy!
Where do all the Beavers come from?!
That's a good question! its not just Beavers its a world of friends , magic mushrooms, high top trees, wishing machines; who run wild, do their thing and encounter adventures around the world! Beavory meaning is BRAVE BEAVER. A few years ago I got this nick name(beaver) mostly because of my personalty not my good looks(I hope) This person pushed me to pursue my dream and use my talent to become what I secretly dreamed. He asked to me to be brave no matter what I encounter - SO i did! and a year and half ago Beavory world was born.
Where do you go/What do you do to get inspired?
Its all in my head! Idea are running wild in there all the time(-: I get responses from far away counties telling me I made them smile- That's the creative fuel that keeps me going!
I try to make the most of my days:Run, read, cook, yoga, travel, dance, movies and more ...(wish there was more time in the day) also very lucky that I have a great group of friends who supports me and inspire me to follow what I believe.
Your illustrations have a youthful flair. How old are you?
I am 27(-: Art and creation are ageless. I am A kid at heart. Once you open your heart & mind your options are limitless.
What are some of your dream projects/ collaborations?
I would like to get a chance to create some human size interior design/street art projects with Beavory style
Also working on a few animation projects that I am excited about.
Do you work as a designer full time? or on Beavory full time?
My professional background is in visual communication design but my heart and passion were always more free spirit and artistic. I believe Its a full package you learn from everything and use your skills to become better everyday.
I work full time at Beavory studio. I have been working since I was 12 years old in any job you can imagine. Now I am happy and lucky to say I wake up every morning doing what I love!
